Recycling
is an important environmental consideration for Rydon helping to reduce the
amount of waste we send to landfill. This is the wood salvaged from the original
building, ready to be collected by local recycling company Towens Waste
Management. All metal and copper pipework and doors have also been collected
and recycled to be given a new purpose.
In
the year 2013/14, 96.9% of total waste from Rydon sites was reused or recycled
elsewhere - the equivalent of 174 six-yard skips.
